ASLEF strike update

ASLEF have announced the suspension of industrial action so the full timetable on Southern and Gatwick Express train services will be restored from Tuesday 24 January. Until then, Gatwick Express train services will operate to a reduced half-hourly frequency and will run between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport only.

RMT strike action is planned to take place on Monday 23 January. Please visit the Southern website for the latest information.

To allow Network Rail to carry out essential engineering work, a number of late night/early morning services will not run. Check our timetable for full details.

How to use the Self-Service Ticket Vending Machines

Southern and Gatwick Express ticket machines offer a wide variety of ticket types to all destinations on the national rail network and London Underground travelcards.

Simply read and follow the messages on the screen to guide you through your purchase options, and don’t worry, if you are unsure of what to do ask our friendly staff for assistance or contact Southern customer services.

You can use cash, credit or debit cards to buy daily or weekly tickets using the touch screen graphics. Next day tickets may be purchased after 16:00 hours. 

Tickets that have been purchased online can also be collected from the machines. Select the ‘Collect’ touch screen graphic and insert your credit/debit card then follow the on-screen instructions.
