ASLEF strike update

ASLEF have announced the suspension of industrial action so the full timetable on Southern and Gatwick Express train services will be restored from Tuesday 24 January. Until then, Gatwick Express train services will operate to a reduced half-hourly frequency and will run between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport only.

RMT strike action is planned to take place on Monday 23 January. Please visit the Southern website for the latest information.

To allow Network Rail to carry out essential engineering work, a number of late night/early morning services will not run. Check our timetable for full details.

Express class train tickets

Get to the airport comfortably or start your London trip in the best possible way – all you need is the quick and easy Express class ticket. It’s still the most popular way to board the speedy Gatwick Express.

Should I get an Express class ticket?

The Express class ticket is best if you’re looking for a great value way to the airport or into central London.

  • It’s the cheapest available Gatwick Express ticket so offers you real value for money
  • Arrive feeling good thanks to air-conditioning and comfortable, modern seats*
  • Luggage is easy to store in overhead compartments and in areas for big suitcases

*If the train is very busy, maybe during morning and evening peak times, you may not be able to get a seat.
