Improvement works
From time to time, often at weekends or public holidays, Gatwick Express has to make alterations to train services, usually for planned Improvement works.

Southern
Buses will run between:
- London Victoria and Clapham Junction
- London Victoria and London Bridge
- Clapham Junction and East Croydon
Gatwick Express
A reduced train service will run between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.
London Overground
No trains will run between Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction. Tickets will be excepted on local bus on all reasonable routes.
Southeastern
Buses replace trains between Herne Hill and Beckenham Junction.

Engineering work between London Victoria and Clapham Junction from 00:50 to 08:30 on Sunday 30 June 2013
A half hourly service will run between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport until approximately 08:30:
- London Victoria to Gatwick Airport, trains will run on the hour and 30 minutes past the hour
- Gatwick Airport to London Victoria, trains will run at 5 minutes past the hour and 35 minutes past the hour

- Between 00:05 and 05:15, no trains will run. Customers should use alternative trains between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport.
- Between 05:15 and 09:30, a half hourly amended timetable will operate
