Service Update

Members of the RMT Union that work for track and infrastructure operator Network Rail have announced that they are planning to take industrial action from 17:00 on Thursday 4 June until 16:59 on Friday 5 June and from 17:00 on Tuesday 9 June until 16:59 on Thursday 11 June. In addition between 00:01 Saturday 6 June and 23:59 Friday 12 June RMT members will not work any overtime.

Special arrangements are being put in place to ensure that customers who already have tickets are not disadvantaged, and can travel on an alternative day or obtain a refund if they choose not to travel. Train companies are working closely with Network Rail on contingency arrangements and further information will be made available shortly.

We will keep you updated here as soon as more information becomes available.

Gatwick Airport info

Gatwick Airport is located 46km (28.4 miles) south of central London. The non-stop Gatwick Express train is the preferred and recommended way of travelling to the airport from London as it takes just 30 minutes, and trains depart every 15 minutes.

Going by road in a taxi or minicab will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, and traffic is unpredictable. The cost of a taxi is not cheap, and car parking at Gatwick Airport for any length of time can add up. You should avoid the road!

Gatwick Airport Rail Station is located in the heart of the South Terminal.
