From Monday 2 January until summer 2023, Salford Central station will close, with trains passing through but not stopping, as Network Rail work to upgrade the platforms and canopies, making the station more accessible for everyone.
Salford Central ticket office will also be closed during this time. Should you need to buy or collect tickets, please use alternative Manchester stations (such as Manchester Victoria, Manchester Oxford Road, Salford Crescent and the ticket vending machines at Deansgate), or use the Northern app.
