How many tickets do I get, and do they expire?

Our Carnet train tickets are sold in books of 10 tickets. They are valid for 12 months from the date you buy, which means you can be organised and book well in advance of your departure date.

Can I use them in First Class?

Yes! The Gatwick Express Carnet tickets can be bought for both Standard Class and First Class travel.

How much can I save?

If you are looking to save money on your frequent trips, a Carnet ticket is ideal. Save £46 with a Standard Class Carnet – 10 tickets for £184.

Or upgrade and enjoy a bit of extra comfort and save £69 with a First Class Carnet – 10 tickets for £276.

Where can I buy Carnet tickets?

You can buy Gatwick Express Carnet tickets from the Gatwick Express ticket offices, which are located at both London Victoria Station and Gatwick Airport.

What if I don’t use my tickets?

Haven’t used your tickets? No problem! Providing you have all 10 tickets and they are all unused, we’ll be able to give you a refund.

Things to check when using the tickets

When you use your Carnet tickets, you’ll need to make sure that:

you're travelling within three months of the issue date
you’ve dated your ticket with permanent ink before you get on the train
you’re travelling in the right direction – remember, Carnet tickets are one way

You may have to pay a fine or another fare if the ticket isn’t valid on your train.

Refunds and replacements

We can only offer a refund if you have a complete book of five or 10 unused Carnet tickets with consecutive numbers.

We can’t replace Carnet tickets if they’re lost or stolen.

Wrongful use

Fraud is a crime. If you try to misuse your Carnet tickets your ticket can be taken from you and you can be asked to pay the full fare. You could also be prosecuted for fraud.
